This is radically different from his normal colors, but I am just playing around, and wanted to know what you thought. Also note that it is not finished, these are rough colors/values just exploring different possibilities. I give a high five to anyone who can guess what movie i was watching while painting this. :)

Sa-weet!! I love the gesture and the linework :) and that red lava texture really adds to this. It looks straight out of a comic book. It kinda of reminds me of Hellboy in a way.
haha well he is a harbinger of doom, so i guess in that respect it does ^.^ any ideas on what movie I was watching whilst painting it?
I was really partial to the complimentary red/green, but I think this is working for me. While it gives him a real volatile quality, it doesn't read as radio-active. He's dangerous, but there's hope in controlling him. Just a thought. I might try to push the reds darker or more desaturated and the yellows a little brighter--but don't go too far. It's working good:)
this color scheme does work better but I think it reads as a lava creature now instead of a child of the stars. As far as what you were watching I am guessing iron man.
